Seriously. What the hell happened?
Where is that woman who once proved that beauty and brains often come in the same package?
I'm
asking this after seeing her comments on Michael Hastings' coverage of
General McChrystal. She basically slammed Hastings for telling the
whole unvarnished truth.
Like she used to do.
Where is
that bikini-model beautiful but hard-nosed female reporter who once
said, in her soft Afrikaaner accent "underestimate me at your peril,"
and then backed it up by asking big shots tough questions? Where is
that tough foreign correspondent who seemed more comfortable in body
armor than in the bikinis she used to model?
When did Lara Logan become a shill for the Establishment?
Perhaps
the difference is being "kicked upstairs" and promoted to CBS' Chief
Foreign Correspondent. Perhaps the difference is motherhood. Whatever
the cause, I don't like the result, and I'd like very much to see the
old Lara Logan back.
